Andrea "Kit" Eide Azevedo is a seasoned nonprofit leader with deep expertise in the People and Operations functions. Kit spent the last decade of her career at Teach Plus in a variety of different roles, including Chief Operating Officer, Chief People Officer, and Chief of Staff. Kit has provided strategic and confidential counsel to several CEOs and other executives around the overarching strategy, governance, and impact of nonprofit missions and visions, and has extensive experience building systems and processes that improve efficiency, impact, internal communication, and employee engagement. At Teach Plus, Kit directly managed and supported all Executive Directors toward achieving meaningful change in key education policy and instructional practices that improved outcomes for students. Kit has a strong track record of steering organizations through leadership transitions, managing successful teams with high satisfaction and retention rates, coaching leaders, and running multi-faceted strategic and change management initiatives. She also spent several years of her career in business development and fundraising.
At Topminnow, Kit runs all aspects of its operations, including communication with partners, project management, finances, and partner satisfaction. In addition, she advises school and nonprofit leaders on how to effectively manage teams, improve employee engagement and workplace culture, and create operational efficiencies.  
Kit holds a B.A. from Boston College and a J.D. and an M.B.A. from Quinnipiac University. She has sat on multiple local and national boards focused on advancing educational opportunities for students. Outside of Topminnow, she loves to read as many books as possible, play strategic board games, and travel the country with Chris and their two dogs.
